Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) welcomed representatives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on November 24, 2025, for a terminal monitoring visit conducted in line with CHED Memorandum Order No. 17, series of 2021, which outlines the procedures for Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (IDIG) initiatives. The visit served as the formal evaluation of NBSC’s Smart Campus Development Project, ensuring that its implementation adheres to the standards and expectations set under the grant.
The CHED team was composed of Adelma C. Tercia, Senior Education Program Specialist of the Office of Planning, Research, and Knowledge Management – Research Management Division (OPRKM-RMD); Ronilo E. Dalida, Project Technical Staff III of OPRKM-RMD; Christian Mark Carreon, Project Support Staff V of the Higher Education Development Fund Staff (HEDFS); Jean Stephany G. Medina, Project Technical Staff I of the Administrative, Financial and Management Service (AFMS); and Jay Loienie C. Duplito, Education Program Specialist II.
During the on-site review, the team inspected the resources acquired for the initiative and observed demonstrations on how these technologies have been applied to various campus operations. NBSC’s project team presented the functions and uses of the procured equipment, offering a clear view of how the systems have been incorporated into academic and administrative workflows. The activity also allowed CHED to document the project’s progress and verify the proper utilization of the materials.
The completion of this monitoring visit marks an important milestone for NBSC, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to advancing its campus environment through modern, technology-driven solutions. The innovations introduced under the Smart Campus Project contribute to improving internal processes, strengthening support for students and personnel, and cultivating a forward-thinking campus atmosphere that can adapt to evolving educational needs.
